METHOD :
Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.Mix Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.Add Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.Fold in Sour Cream:
Gently fold in the sour cream or Greek yogurt until the batter is smooth and creamy. Add nuts or chocolate chips if using.Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Cool & Serve:
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
