Authentic Italian Cannoli

 

Steps to make cannoli: rolling, frying, and filling.


METHOD :



1️⃣ Make the Dough:

Whisk flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.

Add wine 1 tbsp at a time until dough forms. Knead 5 mins, wrap, and rest 1 hour.

2️⃣ Roll & Fry Shells:

Roll dough paper-thin (1/16"). Cut into 4" circles.

Wrap around cannoli tubes, seal with egg white.

Fry at 375°F (190°C) for 2 mins until golden. Cool before removing tubes.

3️⃣ Make Filling & Assemble:

Beat ricotta, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.

Pipe into cooled shells using a star tip.

Dust with powdered sugar and crushed pistachios. Serve immediately!
