METHOD :
1️⃣ Mix Batter:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, whisk cake mix, Dr Pepper, eggs, and almond extract until smooth. Fold in cherry pie filling (don’t overmix—keep some cherry swirls!).
2️⃣ Bake:
Pour into a greased 9x13” pan. Bake 30-35 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.
3️⃣ Cool & Top:
Let cool 15 mins. Serve warm with whipped cream, extra cherries, and a drizzle of Dr Pepper reduction* (*simmer 1/2 cup Dr Pepper until syrupy).
Pro Tip: For extra fudginess, bake in a Bundt pan and dust with powdered sugar!
