Beef Liver and Onions

METHOD :



1️⃣ Prepare the Liver:
If desired, soak the liver in milk for 30 minutes to reduce any bitterness. Pat dry with paper towels.

In a shallow dish, mix the flour, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge the liver slices in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

2️⃣ Cook the Onions:
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until caramelized. Remove the onions and set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the Liver:
In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Add the liver slices and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.

4️⃣ Combine & Serve:
Return the caramelized onions to the skillet and toss with the liver. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat through.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side.
