Boeuf Bourguignon

Ingredients for Boeuf Bourguignon, including beef chuck, bacon, red wine, mushrooms, carrots, and herbs, arranged on a wooden table.


INGREDIENTS :


  • 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into 2-inch cubes

  • 4 slices bacon, chopped

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 large onion, diced

  • 3 carrots, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced

  • 2 cups red wine (Burgundy preferred)

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 2 bay leaves

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley
