INGREDIENTS :
For the Filling:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 leeks, cleaned and sliced (white and light green parts only)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (or substitute with veggies for a vegetarian version)
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1 tsp dried thyme)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Crust:
- 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry or pie crust
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
