METHOD :
1️⃣ Prep Onions:
Slice onions into ½-inch rings. Separate and soak in ice water for 30 mins (keeps them crisp).
2️⃣ Make Batter:
Whisk flour, cornstarch, and spices in one bowl.
Mix buttermilk and egg in another.
3️⃣ Double-Dip & Fry:
Pat onions dry. Dip in flour, then buttermilk, then flour again.
Fry in 375°F (190°C) oil for 2-3 mins per batch until golden. Drain on a rack.
4️⃣ Serve Hot:
Sprinkle with sea salt. Pair with comeback sauce or ketchup!
