🐣 Italian Easter Bread 🍞

 INGREDIENTS :

For the Dough:

• 4 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
• 1 cup warm milk (110°F or 45°C)
• 3 large eggs
• ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp salt
• Zest of 1 lemon or orange (optional)

For the Egg Wash:

• 1 egg
• 1 tbsp milk

For Decoration:

• 4-6 raw eggs, dyed (optional)
• Pearl sugar or sprinkles (optional)
