INGREDIENTS :
For the Dough:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F or 45°C)
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- Zest of 1 lemon or orange (optional)
For the Egg Wash:
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp milk
For Decoration:
- 4-6 raw eggs, dyed (optional)
- Pearl sugar or sprinkles (optional)
