Key Lime Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

   

Steps to make Key Lime Cake: prepping, assembling, decorating.

METHOD :



1️⃣ Prep & Preheat:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round pans.

2️⃣ Make the Cake:

Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.

Mix in lime juice, zest, buttermilk, and vanilla.

Gradually add dry ingredients. Divide batter between pans.

Bake 25-30 mins until golden. Cool completely.

3️⃣ Whip the Frosting:

Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.

Add powdered sugar, lime zest/juice, and vanilla. Whip until fluffy.

4️⃣ Assemble & Decorate:

Frost between layers and over cake.

Garnish with lime slices and zest. Chill 1 hour before slicing.
