🍰 Cinnamon Roll Poke Cake



METHOD :



  1. Bake the Cake:
    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  2. Make the Cinnamon Filling:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and heavy cream until smooth.

  3. Poke the Cake:
    While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake. Pour the cinnamon filling over the cake, spreading it evenly to fill the holes.

  4. Make the Frosting:
    In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

  5. Frost the Cake:
    Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled cake.

  6. Drizzle & Serve:
    Drizzle caramel sauce over the frosting and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired. Slice and serve!
