🍫 Classic Chocolate Cake 🎂



METHOD :



  1. Preheat & Prepare:
    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Add Wet Ingredients:
    Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
    Gradually add hot water and mix until the batter is thin but well combined.

  4. Bake:
    Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  5. Cool:
    Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  6. Make the Frosting:
    In a large bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy.

  7. Frost & Decorate:
    Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread frosting on top. Add the second layer and frost the top and sides. Decorate with chocolate shavings or sprinkles if desired.

  8. Serve & Enjoy:
    Slice and enjoy this rich, moist chocolate cake!
