🍪 Holiday Cookie Bars

 



METHOD :


  1. Preheat & Prepare:
    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

  2. Cream Butter & Sugars:
    In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add Eggs & Vanilla:
    Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Add Mix-Ins:
    Fold in chocolate chips or your choice of mix-ins (nuts, dried fruit, sprinkles, etc.).

  6. Bake:
    Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool & Cut:
    Let the bars cool completely in the pan, then cut into squares. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with icing if desired.

  8. Freeze & Serve:
    To freeze, place the bars in an airtight container or freezer bag. Thaw for 10 minutes before serving.
