🍕 Perfect Italian Pizza Dough 🇮🇹

 


METHOD :


  1. Activate the Yeast:
    In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, or until frothy.

  2. Mix the Dough:
    In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. Knead the Dough:
    Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

  4. Let the Dough Rise:
    Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

  5. Shape the Dough:
    Punch down the dough and divide it into 2 equal portions for medium-sized pizzas or leave it whole for a large pizza. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  6. Preheat & Prepare:
    Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

  7. Top & Bake:
    Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Add your favorite toppings and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

  8. Serve & Enjoy:
    Let the pizza cool slightly, then slice and enjoy your homemade Italian masterpiece!
