METHOD :
1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease with cooking spray or olive oil.
Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Dip each piece in cornstarch, then in the beaten eggs, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden and crispy.
2️⃣ Make the Orange Sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, orange zest, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
3️⃣ Combine Chicken & Sauce:
Toss the baked chicken pieces in the orange sauce until evenly coated.
4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot with steamed rice and your favorite veggies. Enjoy this healthier take on a classic favorite!
