METHOD :
Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch or 9x9-inch baking pan.Mix Dry Ingredients:
In the baking pan or a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.Add Wet Ingredients:
Make three wells in the dry ingredients. Pour vinegar into the first well, vanilla extract into the second, and vegetable oil into the third. Pour water over everything.Mix & Bake:
Stir the ingredients until well combined and the batter is smooth. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Cool & Serve:
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar, top with whipped cream, or frost as desired.
